Let me first start off by saying that for the price and what you are buying; you cant beat it. I ordered mine when they were $200 and I played my first course yesterday with them. This is my review as a beginner keep in mind:
Look and Feel:
Visually, these clubs are simple and do not have a lot of flare to them but that is something I like. There is no Callaway branding on them and the bag simply has Strata on the side. Not a problem for me, but I know that was a complaint among avid golfers. The clubs I received are sturdy and feel okay in the grip. The grips are comprised of this rubber like material and I found initially as I was testing them out at the driving range, my grip would slip as my hands got clammy. Wearing a glove fixed this issue when I played on the course but it is something to keep in mind when you buy them.
Use on the Course:
The driver I have problems with but that is most likely due to that I am a beginner. The irons are pretty standard and work as intended. The 5 Hybrid club really shines though and I found that after driving, this was my go to to get the ball on the green. The putter is okay, I have used others that feel better to me as I used them. This obviously is preference based and others may find the putter to be great. I will probably upgrade the putter.
Overall:
Overall, I highly recommend these clubs as a great starter set. The driver and 5H are forgiving for the beginner which is great so that the beginner, like me, can improve their game without much cost to the game on the course. For the money, you cannot escape the great value that come with these clubs. As a beginner to the game, I give the clubs a 5/5 and highly recommend.

I purchased this set to try the game of golf out. When I received the set I was impressed with the value for the money. The clubs are well built (Strata is made by Callaway) and includes pretty much everything you need to get out on the course outside of balls and tees. The grips are decent, and pretty comfortable. The clubs some mostly with steel shafts, with the exception of the driver, which has a graphite shaft.
The irons in this set are pretty good. They offer good feedback through your hands whether you have hit it well or not, and as long as you have the club face square and put a decent swing on it, will go plenty long and straight.
There are a couple things I added/upgraded rather quickly. 1st, the only wedge that comes in this set is a pitching wedge, which is fine, but adding a set of wedges helps a ton around the greens.
2nd, the shaft on the driver is extremely flexy. As a bigger guy who also plays slowpitch, I have a decent swing speed. Unfortunately this is not a great fit for someone like me, and I upgraded to a Cobra Rad XB recently. For many new golfers, this driver will be more than fine to get going with.
Overall this is a great starter set to test the waters with if you’re interested in playing golf.

Alright guys my boss got me into golf about 2 years ago and I had no idea what I was doing at the time couldn’t hit a ball straight for the life of me. Now I’m finally doing good able to shoot in the low 90’s. Let me tell you these clubs are perfect for learning I wouldn’t not invest in a good set until you practice on cheaper clubs so you don’t mess your nice ones up. The only clubs I don’t use from the set is the driver and putter I would just buy your own because they arent the best every other club works great. After using these for 2 years now I’m finally upgrading to my first big boy set in the $1000’s range. But anyways start with this practice set then move up after you have mastered them is what my trainer told me atleast enjoy. You’ll probably find me on a golf course somewhere just look for the drunk guy.

It’s a great starter set but if I had to do it again I would have started with the Calloway Edge instead little better value for the money. These clubs work great to start but I’ve found I have replaced almost every club with an upgrade..
If you plan on golfing more than 3 times a year step up your game to a higher Calloway club!
